The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect on 25th May 2018. They included new requirements for schools on how they use pupil and parent data.
GDPR is a law relating to data protection and regulates how organisations and individuals within the organisation obtain, store and remove personal data.
The Primary School of St Mary & St Martin is committed to ensuring that all personal information is secure. We take data security very seriously and are fully compliant with the regulations.
Under GDPR, The Primary School of St Mary & St Martin is a Data Controller.
Our Data Protection Officer is Elizabeth Holland.
The Governor responsible for our compliance is Matthew Shaw.
