The Primary School of St Mary and St MartinLet your light shine – Matthew 5:16

Week 7 - w/c Monday 12th October

Congratulations to the award winners this week, Millie, Orla and Reggie!

What a busy week we've had! In DT, the children made tortilla quiches. This included using the claw grip to safely chop yellow peppers and ham to go in their quiches. Afterwards, the children enjoyed taste testing their creations!

The children also enjoyed a dance party for their class treat (for earning all 15 stars in the class star jar).

Finally, the children really enjoyed their French day today! In the morning, they learnt about colours and numbers through several songs and games. They also completed a passport, which included writing a description of their hair and eye colour. In the afternoon, the children used their passports to board the plane and fly to France. They even watched a French cartoon for the in-flight entertainment. Once they had arrived, they enjoyed croissants and orange juice in a French cafe (after ordering them in French of course!). Finally, the children continued to practise their French through role-play.

As I am sure you are aware, the children have received their Nativity scripts! Please begin to practise their lines over the half-term break so we can start rehearsals when we get back. All costumes will be provided by school.
