This week, we have started a new unit of work in numeracy. We are now learning all about addition and subtraction within 10 and today we have introduced the part-whole model. In our DT lesson today, children have made a tortilla quiche and pitta crisps. We enjoyed trying the different herbs and spices on our pitta crisps! In science this week, we have been exploring sound. We went on a sound walk to see what we could hear. We heard cars, trees in the wind and our feet stomping going up the stairs! Next week, we will be exploring taste and we will be trying some different foods with different tastes.

Wednesday – Flu Vaccinations

Friday – Spelling test and book-banded books changed. Please ensure children have their book-banded book in school daily ready for their 1:1 reading session, as well as their Monster Phonics book for their guided reading session.

Other important dates:

• The next BPBP coffee morning is on Tuesday 13^th October at 1.30pm.
• The Harvest Festival is on Thursday 8^th October at 2.30pm at church.
• Donations for the Harvest Festival will be gratefully received from Monday 5^th October.
