Good afternoon,

We are authors! This week, Blue Class have been busy writing their very own finding tales, and I have been so impressed with how hard they have worked on them.

The children have shown fantastic creativity, developing their ideas and using everything we have been learning about successful story writing. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they have worked through the different stages of their stories.

What a fantastic afternoon we have had today, the children had so much fun making the scarecrows for our House Competition. I’m sure you will agree that they have done a brilliant job!

Awards

A huge well done to Judd, who received our Gold Award this week, to Cassius, who received our Excellent Effort Award and to Eden, who received our Handwriting award. We are so proud of you!

Reading

Please can you ensure that your child reads at least three times each week and that it is recorded in their planner. Reading is part of your child’s homework and will be checked each Friday.

Key dates:

• Monday 5^th October onwards – Harvest Donations welcomed into school
• Thursday 8^th October – Harvest Festival in Church @ 2:30pm
• 13^th October - BPBP coffee morning – 1:30pm
• P.E. will be on a Thursday afternoon. Please can all children bring their PE kit on a Monday, it will then be returned on a Friday.
• Homework and spellings have been handed out today and will be due in on Friday.

If you have any questions or messages, please write a note in your child’s planner and ask them to hand it directly to me. Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday!
