Week 2 - W/C 7th September
Good afternoon,
What a wonderful week we have had in Year 1! We have enjoyed starting some of our new topics this week. In science, we have been learning all about The Human Body, we enjoyed using mirrors to look at our faces and draw the different parts. We also created self-portraits in art. Our RE focus has been celebrations so this week we have been learning all about Christmas and the Nativity Story.
Today we did our first spelling test – all children did really well with this and seemed to enjoy having a boogie in between each spelling! Thank you for your support with learning the spellings at home, you will find the scores in their spelling logs.

Monday – BPBP Coffee Morning at 9am in the hall. Topics that will be covered include eating, sleeping, anxiety and behaviour.
PE kit on MONDAY and THURSDAY for our PE lessons please.
Friday – Spelling test and book-banded books changed. Children have come home with a new book today.
Drew, our class dog, is going home with Barney this weekend!
