Week 4 - w/c Monday 21st September
Well done to the award winners this week, Lilly and Temidara!
In music this week, we have been learning about dynamics (the volume of a sound). The children took turns to be a conductor, using their hand to show their group when to play loud and quiet sounds.
In art, we have finished our final pieces, showcasing the skills we have learnt in art so far. We have been learning about Beth Krommes, a children's book illustrator, who uses scratchboards to create her work. The children created their own scratchboards by creating a background using crayons and painting over it with black plaint. Then, they used mark making techniques like hatching, cross-hatching and stippling to scratch an ocean design.
