Choose a picture for them to segment and listen for the sounds. You can spread out all the cards, but to make it a little more simple just choose a smaller selection, including the 3 correct ones. Ask them to repeat the word to themselves, to hear the sounds in the correct order.
All of the children are confident with initial sounds, and most will then pick up the end sound after that. This is fine, put those into place. They will likely still need you to stretch out the word to really emphasise the middle sound in order to hear it.
Once they have the correct word, you can then ask them to practice writing it down to practice their letter formation as an extension challenge.
