Good afternoon and welcome back!
What a great start to the new half term Blue class have had.
In RE this week, the children explored the Hindu Festival of Diwali, discovering why it is called the Festival of Lights and how families celebrate it. The children enjoyed expressing their creativity through Rangoli-inspired artwork.
In History, we travelled back to 1605 to investigate the Gunpowder Plot. We learnt about Robert Catesby, Guy Fawkes and the important events that led to the failed plot against King James I. The children enjoyed sequencing the events and considering why we still remember the fifth of November today.
In science, we have begun our unit on Space - it is safe to say that all of the children were very excited for this!
In English, we have continued our work on non-chronological reports and have started writing our class innovation - The Mossmarsh Prowler.
In maths, we have just completed our unit on Multiplication and Division. Next week, we will move on to fractions.
Children in Need
Friday 13th November - Children can arrive in non-uniform/ Pudsey themed outfits. Donations will be welcomed in the morning on the back playground.
